Maybe not this year but he is only a freshmen man be easy on him, he will be in the two deep next year for sure. There are only 1000000 threads on this guy being a bust, he is only a freshmen! Relax...

Got beat out for 5th in the rotation by a walk on...what does that tell you.

He might not even live up to what Al Woods did, unfortunately.

The "he's just a RS freshman" crap doesnt fly here anymore, sorry. He's on the route of being a bust and it's clear as day. We have 3 redshirt freshmen STARTING on defense for UNC. He can't even be listed on the depth chart and is on the scout squad.

Give him time, different guys take different ammounts of time to blossom into what they will be in college, lets just wait and see b4 he gets labeled a bust

He's still got 4 years to develop, it's foolish to write him off already

I'm not writing him off, just telling it like it is right now and not trying to make any excuses like some are for him. Like I said, 3 RS FR. starting on defense for UNC.

We'll see

And even if he doesn't become dominant, it doesn't make him a bust...Chad jones didn't live up to expectations and no one called him a bust, same for Terrance toliver...davenport still has a ton of time to be a good player, relax

Both Toliver and Jones are far from busts and were doing more at this point. Poor comparison.

Like I said, I'm not giving up on Davenport. Just telling it like it is right now. Getting beat out by a walk on for the last spot at DT is pretty bad in your 2nd year if you're supposedly a 5-star recruit.

this is true in most cases. the coaches can teach technique and motivate just so much. it's ultimately up to him what he wants to and will be...a player or a bust.

And hopefully he decides he wants to be a player so we can have both inside guys over 300 next year. (Add Freak in their too and get big on the line baby!)

Way too early. I'll only consider one a bust when his 4 years are up and didn't meet the high expectations.

WAY too soon to write the kid off. MAYBE if this was the END of his RS Frosh year, but not right now. Also, you are calling him a BUST because OTHER people put a label (5 star) on him. Many would say he was a 5 star based more on upside and potential so why not give him time to develop.

Good lord this is the third or fourth time in this thread I'm saying he's on his WAY to being a bust. Not he IS a bust. There's a difference. Just telling it like it is right now.
