LSU has dominated the ACC historically. The Tigers are going to raw-dog unc. I am looking at 30-13 or so. Book it.

Post was right on the $ until the O shut down in the 3qtr. Coulda, shoulda been much worse. Im disappointed with the Tigers play and they almost gave up the ghost BUT, I may be one of the few that think they will right the ship.

lulz what's wrong with you? If you bookmarked every thread someone said "book it" in you'd have a few hundred bookmarks.

NO...the post was right on the $ "WHEN" the O shut down in the 3qtr. If the D would have given up a field goal instead of two touchdowns he would have been correct.

So don't blame the O. It was the "D". He got 1/2 of his prediction right.

I thought mine was good, but I didn't see the breakdowns in the secondary coming. I also thought we'd do a little better running the ball when we tried to grind...

quote:

The offense will notch 17 points from short field situations (3 turnovers). Apart from these, they won't have many long sustained drives, but they will manage another 13 points (30 total). They'll turn the ball over once, but the defense shuts UNC down without allowing any points. The defense simply owns the first half giving up only 5 first downs, and beating the snot out of the UNC QB. UNC is only able to start moving the ball in the second half when the D shifts to bend-but-don't-break mode. With time running down they start passing heavily, but the UNC QB takes one sack too many (PP on the corner blitz) and leaves the game. UNC will tack on a meaningless late TD with the D in prevent mode. Final score LSU 30 UNC 20. The LSU offensive stats look pretty plain. Jefferson has a decent completion percentage, but the yardage seems on the low side, with one TD and one int. But the running game looks rather good with close to 200 yards. The UNC offensive stats don't look much different, except for the low completion percentage and yardage, the slightly low first down total, and a slightly lower rushing total. It's a comfortable win. Positigers will talk about 1) how awesome the D looked in the first half, 2) how sharp the red zone offense looked, and 3) that all of our running backs are beasts. Negatigers will 1) complain about "3rd an Chavis", 2) Complain about how shifting to the "bend-but-don't-break" defense nearly cost us the game, and 3) State that Patrick Peterson is a beast. Most will agree that the line looked okay.

hmmmm, maybe half right - the 'D' was put under pressure by a non performing 'O' and with turnovers AND a bad non call on the onsides kick. . . I think we probably agree that it was not a total team effort in the 2nd half.

I agree...they shut it down.

Part of the problem...and NOBODY that I have seen has mentioned it yet...but 3 of our scores came quickly. And another came after a 3 and out.

Shep scores right away.
Randle's score was on the first play.
Safety
Punt Return

Our Defense NEVER GOT A REST!!!

I told my friend at HALF...I said, "Good thing we have a 20 point lead...this might turn out like Tenn. 05."

And I was almost right.
