As an out-of state grad. I agree with your point. I would give up my left nut for my high school boy to attend LSU, but with these budget cuts and the quality of education in question; we are looking at other options. Will continue to cut checks to the school (because of my education from LSU I live well) and support the university, but the lack of vision by La. goverment is on of the main reasons why we left.

To clarify, I am frustrated because I really thought LSU was moving in a strong direction to becoming a national university.

It's not about the money I have to pay. It's about us going back to competing with MSU, Ole Miss and Arkansas instead of the other direction.

I have one child there, and was excited about others going. Now, not so much. If they can get in somewhere better (and they can), I will say go for it. And honestly, it hurts to say that.
