We booked with Redrum, but were subbed out to contract boat (know at time of booking.)

We had two marlins in the baits, but no hookups. One chicken Dorado was the only fish for the day.

We were one of the last boats in the marina for the day and appeared to have drawn the short straw as most boats had marlin and dorado flags flying, some with multiple tag flags. Guess that is why it is called fishing.

I did a trip with them last October and caught billfish both days. Did you stay at their place in the Pedegal (sp)? Of the many times I have been there, that place was the highlight.

Back to OP, years ago, before catch and release was so widely accepted, I watched a number of billfish cut up on the Cabo dock and it looked pretty bloody/dark, kind of like blackfin tuna. With a cooler full of dorado and yf steaks, it would be hard to get excited about eating that.

I've fished with them before. We went out on that big 54' they used to have.
