Lets go out and take care of em 1 game at a time, if we win, we'll get our due. I believe in 06 we started the season 16 or so.

As long as your in the top 20 or close (from a major conference) if you win, you'll get your due.

I think a lot will depend on what the teams ranked above you do. The first week there is usually not a lot of movement because most teams are not playing a tough opponent.

I have a feeling LSU is going to be real good this year but I think the key will be establishing a running game, being patient, and allowing the deense to win the ball game for you. Not flashy but it works when you have a great defense and I think y'all may have a great defense.

bigger jump in AP, since we're ranked below UNC in AP and they're expecting less out of us

We were ranked #2 preseason in 2007. You're thinking of 2003.

Yea.....It's been a long day, and a couple drinks at the Saints game probably isn't helping.

Relevant polls aren't out until October... I would be happy with a one point win over the "Heels!"

Not me, I want to see y'all assdrag them up and down the field and win by about 24 points and let them go back home and chew on that for a while.

As always, it'll depend on how many teams ahead of us lose.

Scoop, that's basically what worked for Bama last year right?

You have been posting here on the Tiger rant a good bit lately, so I'm assuming you're familiar with our RBs Michael Ford, Stevan Ridley, and Richard Murphy.

Do you think that a combo of those guys resembles the Ingram/Richardson duo yall got going? Personally, I can see any one of our guys having a crazy breakout year like Ingram did last year. Not saying any will necessarily compete for the Heisman, but I snuck into the scrimmage the other day and Ridley was looking solid.

Thoughts?

i agree, but my concern is how can someone like charles scott go from rushing for 900 or so yrds in 08 to being average in 09? simple, the offensive line was average at best. i just don't know what to think in terms of the line playing better this year. i didn't see much (if any) improvement from game 1 to game 13. BUT, i do think longergan is a better center than hebert and hurst is and upgrade as well so there is a chance the line will play better. also, people forget how important quin johnson was to the offense. LSU can be very good, if the offensive line improves. hell i'll go out on a limb and say "we" will win 10 games if so.
