Okay, I realize UNC will get a mud hole stomped in it, but just raelize UNC fields 28 athletic teams and they all compete at the highest level with world class athletes.

Same for LSU. Also for the ACC, if you really studied the league and look at the NFL draft, Pro Bowl, etc. you would see it holds its own with the SEC as the two top overall leagues. It is true that the ACC has not had the two dominant teams found in other leagues. 3 or 4 tears ago it took an 11-1 Penn State team 4 OT's to beat an FSU team with 4 league losses.

No disrespect here, LSU is a great team with great athletes. Not in any way disputing SEC as the best football league. I also do not believe if you lose, that it should indicate you will have a bad season.

I think that UNC will be one of the two best defensive teams we face. Although not intimidated by UNC's offense, we have some questions with our revamped LB corps, a lighter DL, so the game could be very competitive. Likewise, the morale consequences aside, this is a big game for both teams, at the earliest possible moment in the season. Should either team be significantly more prepared than the other, gets out to a big lead and keeps the pedal down, the other team should not consider it the end of the season. In 2007, VT finished third in the final BCS standings (and may have been the second best team in the country) and we went through them like they weren't even there on September 8th.

It happens. UNC is one of the best coached and best defensive teams in the country. No serious LSU fan is taking this game lightly.
