Is LSU going to run that walk up to the line of scrimmage and stand and look at the sideline for a play then get into a formation and then look again and change the formation crap offense this year or are they going to line up and run the play?

I couldn't stand that stuff last year and it is a reason our offense sucked so bad.

maybe you should relieve Les Miles and his coaching staff since you seem to have the key to success.

Hopefully not. I think that was a major factor in our offense's inability to move the ball. Too much confusion and they were rarely all cohesive on a given play. I guess a reason why they did it was they didn't want to give Jefferson too much freedom, like they did in '08 thus ruining Jarret Lee. I think how much we see this in the UNC game will tell us all we need to know about how much Jefferson has progressed as well as how much faith they have in him.

The other downside to it IMO is that the offensive lineman sit there waiting for the play in stance. All that does is tire them out and it prevents them from lining up and firing off the ball. Offensive lineman like to get to the line of scrimmage and fire off, not sit there for an additional 10 to 15 seconds waiting around. And it didn't fool anybody. It didn't disguise anything.

To be serious now, I do believe that with the right players and at the right time, that method could be very effective. However, I do think LSU needs to stick with the basics. They are no where near that level to be running complicated plays and trying to confuse the defense. Half the time they confuse themselves.

It isnt a 'trick', it is not a disguise.

There are a ton of reasons we sucked on O last year, this one is pretty low on the list.

Was LSU the only team to use the "check with me" thing?

No, I've seen other teams use it but it seemed like we used that bullshite on every play. It just seems like it prohibits the offense from getting any sort of rhythm.

Didn't we pretty much stop using it towards the end of the season?

And hasn't that been stated in all the other threads that are exactly like this one?

A legitimate question. I hope not. It made we think that no one knew what was going on. I think I was right.
