Hope is not supposed to be a plan...

2010 plan:
JJ & JLee - It is what it is - get what you get
Shep - Wildcat QB and 3rd string Qb if/as required

2011 plan:
JJ & JLee - Same with 2 Sr's
Shep - Same as a Jr QB
Rivers as True Fresh - get some experience as best as possible (with probably 3 guys in front of him, or maybe 4 in front of him if we get a JC transfer) to posture as possible So QB starter in 2012
JC TBD QB?

2012 plan:
Shep as Sr QB -or-
Rivers as true So at Qb -or-
Some TBD True Freshman or true Soph TBD QB
JC TBD QB?

2013 plan:
Rivers as Jr with whatever experience gained in 2011/2012
Continue and hope Rivers, or some TBD QB has developed into a solid option

We are stuck with his management of the team and the 2011-2013 implications, so all Tigers care whether he stays or not

JC qb that will be a senior in 2012.

But get one on next year's signing class and search for him NOW. DO NOT wait until next year to start scrambling.

Miles' plan appears to be more of an exit strategy.

Agreed because he won't be here next year to face the consequences of his decisions. Keep wishing maybe he learned from his mistakes but hopefully he won't get another chance to mess with kids lives or screw up another football team. For the $$$ he is paid he should not yank scholleys, should not take chances on guys like ZL, and should know how to manage a clock!! That Ole Miss game proved he is not worth the $$$ he is paid. So, LM plan B is to lay on the beach somewhere and spend all the money LSU paid him to screw this program up!!!

Can Miles redshirt either JL or JJ this season?

There is always a chance that JJ will blossom and that position will be fine this year and next.

Yep, even if Miles is fired after this season, his replacement will inherit a total mess at QB.

His plan should be to pursuade Ely to reconsider his verbal commitment to the tide. Verbals don't mean squat these days and he could be starting in 2 years at LSU. He knows he'll be playing backup to McCarron and Simms at Bama and might be a starter his senior year. Rest assured, there are some very good, verbally comitted QB's out there who were paying close attention to the Zach Lee decision.

Maybe he should just start JL this year, relieving him only with the wildcat and let JJ take a redhshirt.

I mean, yes, that's crazy.

But that's what the old fox has brought on himself

When are you people going to realize that LSU is heading for a return to the 1990s?

From what I hear about Rivers is that he is a hard worker and will be a good college QB. Funny story, per a good friend of mine who called him to congratulate him on commiting to LSU after i told him he commited to LSU Friday night. He asked "How in the world did you hear about me commiting to LSU from NC", friend told him about me and he was do impressed with LSU fans. "Man I LSU fans are really world wide, their everywhere". Lets hope he can get in hear and produce. He doesn't need a Qb coach, he has one in his dad and brother. He has the size for sure.

What I can't really get over is how Tiger Nation always looks to the next guy as some savior, hanging the future of the program on the next recruiting class. It happened with Jefferson, JLee, and Sheppard. How many youtube vids of these kids in high school were scattered all over the site, salivating that they would inevitably be the next Tommy Hodson. But how fast we forget. Zach Lee would probably not have been the answer anyway...

Kind of hard to judge Sheppard, I'm still waiting for him to throw his first pass.
