Looking for a BBQ grill made from a barrel...

I used to have one of those BBQ pits that were made from a barrel, and had a piece of expanded metal as the grill. They used to sell them mass produced in front of Albertson's. I had bought mine from the one on Plank Rd. in Baker for like $75, and it was a great pit. (for what it was)I put out some really good meat from that simple, cheap lil thing.
Eventually, the bottom rusted out, and i haven't been able to find another one.
Anybody know where i can get one?

I picked up a Charbroil similar to what your talking about but a little nicer (cast iron grilling surface, adjustable height coal rack) from Home Depot for $120 a few months ago.

Go with the Char Griller Outlaw from Academy. $150 and you can add a side firebox

Talk to an Ag teacher, the kids make those all the time.
If you do, get him to make you a fire box/tray to put charcoals on and it will last longer.
If you get an Old Smokey though, you'll never miss that barrel pit.

Built my own almost 20 years ago with the heavy gauge barrel. Still in great shape and cooks great.
Cost me $35.. 1980's prices..
I wouldn't give it up for anything.
You can still get the heavy gauge steel barrel at the salvage yard on Airline near Prescott.
