Not even a little. I wouldn't recommend it. I used to go shoot skeet there in high school when I didn't know any better. It cost $9.50 a round and something was always broken not to mention the old guys that run the place are a$$ holes.

When I went to LSU I discovered a real shooting club in Port Allen (hunters run gun club) and saw what I had been missing. They let us shoot for $4.50 a round and the facility was way nicer/ ppl were way friendlier.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Tallow Creek. I haven't shot there in a year or so but have shot a fair number of times over the years and have had no problems. THeir sporting clays is AWESOME.

The only question would be if they are still open. There is a rumor that is on again off again about them selling the place. Last I drove by the gate was open.

I have, would go once are twice a month. Don`t go much anymore. The place is not that bad. I thought it was eight bucks a round but I could be wrong. I liked it because it was near my house and could get in and out on a long lunch hour. It`s well worth a look to see if it meets your needs.

I pass it while going to work, I don't live in that area.

I find that TD has a lot of snobs when comes to just about anything. I'll have to try it out one day and get my own opinion.

It's basically just a piece of land with a shack on it and they are restrictive about what type of ammo you can shoot.

Do they have a rifle range? Or just skeet?

Rifle range, skeet, 5 stand, sporting clays and a couple other skeet type throwing deals.

I have never used the rifle/pistol range but know a lot of people who do and have no trouble. I have always enjoyed myself shooting skeet and clays out there.

Their website doesn't have pricing info. How much to use the rifle range?

edit: n/m. I used my phone...

Its got a decent sporting clays course with the ponds n such, if they're still at the location I used to go to. I do, however, like Hunters Run in port allen but they've got not real sporting clays course.

Problem with hunter's run is that to use the rifle range, you've got to be a member.

I don't see myself using the range often enough to justify that expense. Yet. :)
