I heard he lives a fairly basic life and gives alot of what he makes right back to the school. His house is on campus.

I think you are right about this. Bear Bryant didn't make a whole lot either during his tenure. At this point, I think Penn State is letting Paterno coach as long as he wants to. The next coach will cost them considerably more money...
