If he wants to play this year and not have to work as hard.. Where else would he go?

Craig Nall did it. Worked out pretty well for him.

For some reason I thought he was going to Miss State and sit out a year so he could play the next. I get why he would go to a lower school but I just don't get why anyone would want to go to NSU to play for Peveto if there were options.

Was he really that bad?

Its closer to home and maybe he felt he was a better fit for NSU.

that is LSU's spin. The report was he received a certified letter informing him that his scholly wasn't renewed.

Yeah I heard that too but I have also heard that this happens all the time at lots of schools.

Tupelo to Baton Rouge = 362 miles
Tupelo to Nackatrash = 414 miles

Is it really that hard to figure out? Go to a school with a coach your already familiar with who is trying to build a program and have the opportunity to start from day one.

He wasn't a SEC caliber quarterback. He saw the handwriting on the wall and asked to be released.

Happy trails and best of luck!

How the frick would you know this? He is a redshirt freshman who never took a snap in a game yet. The only time ANY LSU fan has seen him play was 2 spring games ago and he looked much better than Jefferson or Lee in that game.

You know where he transfered to right?

Here's a clue the school he transfered to went winless in the Southland conference last season and is a football championship subdivision school (if you're from Walker that's division 1aa).

If he was as good as you seem to think he is, he sure as hell would have transfered to another SEC or BCS program. Instead he chose to transfer to Northwestern State University.

ever heard of Craig Nall? He transferred to NSU. Still got drafted in 5th round and was a backup QB in league for several years. Maybe Garrett doesn't want to sit out a year and be a 4th year college student before ever getting a chance to play. It is completely ridiculous to insinuate that b/c he transferred to a 1-AA school that he has no talent.

It is also completely ridiculous to think that, just because Nall succeeded to that level, Garrett will.
