Really? When have they before?
Past history is not indicative of present day results. In the past, we did not have the cache' that we have today.

If we have to buy out Miles, I doubt we'll be offering $4 million per to the new head coach.

Which is the beauty of it. We wouldn't have to. We could offer a hot young coach for much less than that who is highly intelligent, motivated, and innovative. At the same time we get rid of the boat anchor around our necks called Crowton at almost a 1 million per year and another albatross which is Chavis at 1 Million, neither are worth that much money.

I'll say this again. There's only a handful of coaches who are clearly better than Miles.

LSU, while a very good job, is not the job a lot of you think it is. And you can easily see that if you just look at the recent history of hires.
It is one of the top 10 jobs in the country. Why?

Great money
Huge fanbase and support
National recognition with 2 NC's and multiple SECC's
Fertile recruiting grounds with almost no in state competition
Almost NFL style facilities, some of the best in the country
It's an $80M a year business
95,000 seat stadium filled for every game
Unbelievable recruting over the last 4-5 years with 4 and 5 star talent all over the field

Do you seriously think we couldn't get a good coach?

If so...
