You mean the same guy that people were ready to run the frick out of this town in '05 & '06? That should be awesome.
Again,
2010- Miles out during the season
2011- Pelini in
Pelini has been the BR twice already, and wants desperately to get out from under Tom Osborn's thumb. There are many $$$ guys offering to pay off LM's contract to get him out. If we perform poorly early on, he'll be out during the season. If we are decent, he'll be out at the end of the season. I hope we do well, but my guess is he's gone during the season. The rest of this post isn't a guess. Archive this one and lets talk when all of this happens.

I think we would have to start out 0-6 for him to get fired mid season. Ain't happening.

Top coaches will always flock to a program like LSU.
Really? When have they before?

And then you throw out $4 mil and who wouldn't?
If we have to buy out Miles, I doubt we'll be offering $4 million per to the new head coach.

Urban Meyer went to UF after Zook, who had successful seasons at UF, very similar to Miles.
I'll say this again. There's only a handful of coaches who are clearly better than Miles. And they all have pretty damn good jobs that they are not leaving to come to LSU. LSU, while a very good job, is not the job a lot of you think it is. And you can easily see that if you just look at the recent history of hires.

At the same time we get rid of the boat anchor around our necks called Crowton at almost a 1 million per year and another albatross which is Chavis at 1 Million, neither are worth that much money.

Great money
Huge fanbase and support
National recognition with 2 NC's and multiple SECC's
Fertile recruiting grounds with almost no in state competition
Almost NFL style facilities, some of the best in the country
It's an $80M a year business
95,000 seat stadium filled for every game
Unbelievable recruting over the last 4-5 years with 4 and 5 star talent all over the field
Do you seriously think we couldn't get a good coach?
If so...

According to an "anonymous" member of TAF's board of directors, 8 wins and Miles is out, 9 wins and he still may end up unemployed. Pelini, who is a very close family friend, said he would "Crawl back to Baton Rouge if Miles gets the boot." The fact is, Bo loves Baton Rouge but could not stand CLM- at all. As for potential coaches, Gary Patterson tops the list, then Muschamp, then Pelini. With the Richt situation boiling over in Athens, many believe Muschamp could make a return to his alma mater. Obviously, no one knows what will happen considering that there is still another season to be played. I don't know about Miles leaving during the season, personally, I believe that may be pushing it. Also, there ARE plenty of big money guys who would help pay off CLM's contract to see him leave. Between Todd Graves and Bob Kirchoff, there's enough money to pay off CLM's contract and hire someone else. Now, I don't know how they feel about Miles, but the fact of the matter is these are only 2 of the 90 individuals that have the most pull in TAF and deal with a large portion of the funding. As for Alleva, he has a much stronger supporting cast than he did at Duke, hopefully* drastically decreasing the odds that he had at Duke of making a hiring mistake. Regardless, we can only be optimistic for the time being and do the best with what we have. GEAUX TIGERS

Seem this as a 1% chance of happening but will give you credit if it does. Pelini is not going to leave Nebraska for LSU, and Les has a buffer in Crowton if he gets in hot water. Will take a losing season for Les miles to be gone IMO.
He would have to start off 0-6 for before I could even see a possibility during the season.

He hired Cutcliffe at Duke. For Duke, that was a good hire to me.

This is why the rant is so much entertainment.
Miles out if he wins 9? BS!! If he loses to UNC, Ala and Ark he's out? Hahaha.
Maybe, maybe a slight chance if he wins eight. No way in hell this guy leaves mid season.
Everyone always talks about the $ guys and how we can buy him out, but at the end of the day you and I both know deep down they won't cough up that cash.
All he has to do is have a decent year, crowton takes the axe, BG is promoted and we save the big recruiting class.
As long as we're archiving posts why don't we archive this on, too. Hahahaha- miles leaving midseason-hahahaha
if he leaves midseason, or gets fired with 9 wins I'll never post again, but if he wins 8-9 and stays how about you never post here again?
Midseason firing......classic rant material!!!!!

That guys post was so stupid, it pulled you out of Lurkerville. It was quite a lot of BS.
It is easy to say, "pay an $8MIL buyout" when it is someone else's money.

Stop it! Stop it!
I just can't take anymore of the "anonymous" "big-money" TAF guys who are friends of a friend who says they have the money pulled together to piss away on buying out coaches contracts.
Enough of the mindless "I've got a buddy and I'm in the know" bullshite! The sad part is you people take yourselves seriously.
