Gotta wonder if new Hornets GM Dell Demps' first order of business will be trying to trade for Rudy Fernandez. Team needs a 2 and shooters.

I have no inside info on that one, just wondering out loud. Makes too much sense.

A) future first for Armstrong exception, B) Make it bigger: Rudy, Bayless and Przybilla for Collison and Posey.

editing B) to including Julian Wright.

Blazer fans, stop asking me about CP3. Not happening for at least a year, if ever.

Thoughts? Fernandez is unhappy in Portland and on the block. I'd love to have him.

I wish something like this and have them take okafar
Posted on 7/21/10 at 6:12 pm to hendersonshands
Yea, it'd be pretty nice to get rid of Okafor's contract.

Yea I'd prolly do it if its DC/Juju/Posey for Rudy/Przy/Bayless & if Monty can talk Rudy into playing here. Rudy been crying that he doesn't want to play for any NBA team anymore & wants to go back home.
"If I could reach an agreement with Portland, so that they would not trade me to another NBA team and they would accept my return to Europe, I'd be pleased," Fernandez

It doesn't really us improve all that much but you almost feel like you have to do it if they take Posey & Juju.

I think it makes us better. We need a 2, Bayless is underrated, and Pryzbilla gives us some actual size down low.

I thought this was a CP3 trade and I was going to post that "not this shite again" pic but I actually like that trade for the Hornets.
Bayless and Pryz>>>>Peja and Posey.
I would like to add a tall 2 but Bayless is pretty good and I would like to have 2 seven footers off the bench(I think we re-signed Gray). Rudy(if he accepts the trade) would give us that tall 2 and Pondexter is practically already Posey and can only improve. Juju was absolutely worthless.

This might give us the push we need!!!

Fernandez has to accept the trade. He's not one of the two players without a no trade clause in his contract.

I don't like this trade. We need to keep DC because we all know CP3 is gone in 2 years.
Posted on 7/21/10 at 6:57 pm to TotesMcGotes
I meant if he actually comes here and doesn't pull a bitch move like Dale Davis did a few years back.

OK, here's the issue. Collison is our best shot at A) getting another team to give us some legitimate talent, B) getting another team to take on our horrible salaries, or C) both.
Chris Paul will stay provided that we improve the team. Do we give up Collison in the hopes of improving the team enough to convince CP to stay? frick. YES.
Collison is great and CP may not stay but we have to take that chance to try and get CP to re-sign here.

Wait and see what dell demps does for the organization. There is hope for this team ya know.

Now that we have Demps, I have faith we could keep CP3. Until just recently, I was almost sure CP3 was gonna follow in "big brother" Bron's footsteps and gtfo.

See I think that's an interesting problem. If he's taking after his boy Lebron what will be good enough to show him we're a championship contender? If his stance on being championship competitive is the same as Lebron it might be too late already.

Yea I know. I should have edited. I meant to say "Chris Paul claims he will stay..." Sorry about that.

i agree with your point though, collison is about our only realistic asset.
