Headed to Pelican Club tomm. night. Any recommendations? I looked at geaux.com dinning guide and it only had one review.

Most will highly recommend the seafood martini. I thought it looked kind of gross (I hate mayonnaise and mayonnaisey-looking sauces), but people love it. You should enjoy the place, the food is really good. Service wasn't A+ when I went a year or so ago, but it wasn't awful either.

It is a top-ten in NO IMO. They are running a three course dinner for 35.00 right now. They do an interesting take on a seafood stew. Duck is always a good call. And I will disagree about the seafood martini, I fricking love it.

Go for that deal that glassman mentioned. Alot of nice restaurants around the city do the 3 course dinner deal in the summer time. "Coolinary Menu" is what it is know as, I believe.

Here is a menu you can check out, if you haven't already.

Also, I tried a cucumber drink they had one time, and it was surprisingly very good. It wasn't a martini.

Was the cucumber drink a Pim's cup? My wife drinks that stuff.

I don't think. Pims Cup is made a bunch of different ways, I believe, and I think they just garnish with a cucumber. Maybe not.

The one I had at Pelican Club was a summer cocktail (not sure if it's on the menu year round), and it actually had cucumber muddled into the drink. I think it used gin.
