Does that mean Miles' knows something about Z Lee that isn't public yet ?

I think we all take it as a good sign for either Zach Lee or a current recruit..
That doesn't change the fact that a wasted scholarship is a wasted scholarship. If Garrett wasn't LSU material.. unfortunately sometimes you gotta trim the leaves.

It's not him just being 'not good enough' but if he wasn't competitive at all.. as in a 4th stringer going into his 2nd year at LSU..
From what I've read he received a letter that his scholarship was not being renewed.. and it's not set in stone either. Basically it says that you have to earn your scholarship for next year. He wasn't willing and asked for his release.

JL looks pretty good. You had been hoping he would self destruct and you would be #2 and get some end of game snaps and maybe a couple of starts if JJ gets dinged. But NO!! Now JL is looking like he understands the system, and you are now #3 AND Z lee is a real possibility.
So... you trot over to Leslie's office and say, Its looking like I am not going to get to play any time soon unless/until JL and JJ get hurt.

yeah that's right. my bad
him having 2 spring games so far made my head spin. fixed it. but still the point stands.. it was clear to both him and the staff that he wasn't going to start here. it's a shame too.. he looked great in his first spring game.

Going by that logic, don't you think Coach Miles had a REALLY good reason to pull his scholarship in the situation we're currently in? Like maybe he wasn't progressing, wasn't cutting it, wasn't even anywhere close to challenging the 2 QB's ahead of him, who I think we all agree have not been the "unchallengable" type. The kid was a 3rd stringer who had no quality playing time under his belt...NEWSFLASH: 3rd stringers who aren't challenging for a #1 or #2 spot get their scholarships yanked on college football teams all the time! Don't make this into a conspiracy. I don't understand how people who always complain about Jefferson or Lee are upset about the guy who couldn't beat them out having his scholly revoked. I think that is a great decision by the coaches, use that scholly on someone who looks like they can compete.

No, YOU missed the point. He was a 3rd stringer who was not making progress-explained by his lack of snaps in the Spring game & probably wasn't happy knowing he wasn't anywhere near challenging for the 2nd spot much less, the starting position. Kids who do not measure up often times have their schollys pulled. Why waste another year & another scholarship if he is not competing? The only
