I went to the new Couyons the other day, the one on Nicholson in Baton Rouge and it blew very badly. The beans were the worst beans I have ever had and the brisket, ribs, and chopped beef were all terrible as well.The best thing I had there was the mac n cheese which doesn't say much for a BBQ restaurant. I have talked to other people and some have said the same thing and others have liked it so I don't know if we just went on a bad day or is the food really that shitty? I hope we just went on a bad day because Baton Rouge could use more good BBQ places.

I went there today for lunch and got the large brisket platter with baked beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was meh at best. Potatoes were too salty for my taste. Baked beans were fine. Brisket was a little on the fatty side, but edible. I don't think I ever used horseradish when eating brisket, but they gave me a little cup of it and it was not bad. I'm most likely not going back...rather hit up Voodoo down the road.
