Got my notification from LSU yesterday. Even though students aren't being moved into my section (Section 224), it says I'm being moved.

Kind of a strange form. Choices are:

A) Request to move to bottom center court (Sections 101-106 where students used to be)

B) Upgrade to Best Available

C) Downgrade (lower Tradition Fund)

D) Don't renew.

So in my case, if I want comparable seats that are mid-level corner (best value in my opinion), how do I request that?

Assuming I choose Option B, do I have to buy mid-court (more expensive) seats if they're available?

Will LSU call each season ticket holder to confirm a new seat location and to get a "yes" or "no" on it?

Request an upgrade to best available. They'll call you with what they have, and you'll be able to decide from there.

You might even request an upgrade based on the best available after they've pissed everyone off and had a bunch of cancellations. Suggest that they then lower the prices and the contribution levels.

season ticket holders have to renew without knowing what seats they are getting. its very weird that they're doing it this way.

because the old people with money who have gone to games for years no matter how bad the team was won't pay the tradition fund?

thats what they are hoping for. Many probably WON'T pay. You have to think, your ticket prices are more than doubling now. Get them outta those sections

I just spoke with someone in the ticket office, and everyone got the upgrade request. I guess because you're going to be in a tradition fund seat they're giving you the option to move out of your donation level.

If you're not impacted by the student section move, you don't have to turn in the upgrade request if you don't want to.

Lower level baseline seats barely went up from last year, but the people on the sides will have to pay bigtime over the next five years.

I don't know.

What did the ticket office tell you when you called them and asked them your question?

I talked to the ticket office about a month or two ago when all this baloney started. Guy on phone told me he expects more people to attend games with the new price hike. He then encouraged me to renew. I said ok, I'd like to get closer to center court and lower. Basically anywhere in the 200s (since I'd be trying to get them in my name, I currently share in the 200s). He told me that there were no seats available. The same old blue hairs that don't show up still won't show up.

So expect the PMAC to be no different other than the students being moved, which is a good idea.

smart move. I've decided to just go to the games I want and get a free/5$ ticket or 2 outside.
