Anyone care to summarize the Scout article on him? I think he would be a huge get as a replacement for Sheppard after this year

His top 5, in no particular order, are LSU, MSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee. He said if he were to switch, it'd be to LSU. If we stay on him, we may have a shot.

If thats true about him choosing LSU " if he were to switch" which is a big IF. Les and the Chief need to get this one, He would be a great addition to this class. They should put Freak, Landry, and Hilliard on the phone him for some convincing

Are you saying a "big IF" as in my comment being true or not? If so, he's quoted in the article as saying this. I didn't just make this up.

How do we look with the other OOS linebackers on that have offers. I remember hearing a lot about G. Paul from Florida at one point. Also Travis Hughes has the us in his top five.

I like our chances at getting one of the following: Travis Hughes/Gionni Paul/C.J. Johnson/Armonze Daniel (no offer)/Kris Frost/Justin Williams

Seems like Hughes is all UNC.

We have a legitimate shot at the rest listed above IMO.

Yup, 'fraid so. Chapel Hill has always recruited the Virginia Tidewater well: Lawrence Taylor, Ronald Curry, Chris Hanburger (way back), J.R. Reid . . . they got LB Daquan Romero out of Phoebus HS this year already. And if the Powder-Puff Blue Bandits don't get 'em, Frank Beamer is always waiting up the moonshine-hills. Too bad; would love to get Travis Hughes down here. . . .

Yeah, I just thought it interesting that he had 4 east coast schools listed and LSU as his top five. LSU just seems out of place on that list of schools. I think that bodes well for us, but that's really just conjecture.

I think the UNC game might be our biggest game this year from a recruiting standpoint. If we come out and beat them good, it has to bode well for us

He's a soft verbal...I wouldn't say ALL MSU at this point. He's still open. He'll be announcing his final decision at the Army AA game by the way.

His best friend plays for State, it's close to home, he will be playing behind some excellent DTs, and he will get a chance to start as a freshmen in a blitz heavy scheme which LBs love. He's simply playing the recruiting game with the other schools.

I don't get that feeling from him based on his interviews. He gives no false hope and tells it like it is. He is looking around to make sure he is where he wants to be and not lying to anyone about taking visits and he is also bringing his family on these visits.

Doesn't really matchup.

I could understand it if he was playing the recruiting game if he wasn't committed somewhere, but he committed to his home-state school. There is no game to be played here. I think there is a huge interest in us, and if he is waiting til the AA game, that gives us plenty of time to keep on him
