World Cup Soccer Ball Flaws Acknowledged by FIFA

Not saying it's the reason, but anyone think this might have something to do with why formerly incredible teams - Italy, France, etc. - are being ejected so early?
If those teams played with better quality balls in the WC, it would be logical to assume that it's because they trained with better balls.
If teams from countries with less football resources practiced with "supermarket" balls, they'd be used to training with inferior balls. And that's why they can control and score more.
Or is it just

No. It has nothing to do with either team being shackled by the ball.
Both lost because their offenses were embarrassing, and it looked like both didn't care at time.
All the goals scored against them were nothing special and just bad play. Plain and simple.
The ball may suck and make it harder to do things, but it does that to both teams on a pitch.
