agree. i think that's waaay overblown.

the hayward statement was waaay insensitive, admittedly. but let's be reasonable and admit how easy it would be for your words to not come out just right when your being grilled 24/7, especially when even within the same language there are large differences in phrase and word usage among differing countries/continents/cultures. these figures that stand before us are human.

because of their salaries, i can refrain from being too sympathetic towards them for the flack they're taking - it comes with the territory. I just don't think either meant the worst people are taking from the statements so i can't agree with taking issue of such small mis-speakings.

for the record, i have no affiliation with bp.

i think it was an honest truthful statement.

the people impacted by the oil spill are the small people. fact
