Texas Tech is refusing to sign off.
Texas would get contractual proof that they are dominate and could show recruits.

Why does Tech think that they have any power?

If the PAC-10 decides to take TTU along, will the Big XII-II fall?

Tech is just trying to squeeze out a few more millions probably. They hold no power. Unless, the Pac 10 commish is just trying to screw over Texas as a little payback.

If Tech holds out, the TV deal may try a give equal revenue sharing for all. But if they can barely get $20 million for 3 schools, how could they for all 10?

Their administration is severely delusional about the draw they have, which is why they were so quick to fire Leach with the Adam James stuff.

Good for them, but they may get fricked if they aren't careful. I'd laugh if tech got booted and the conference picked up TCU or someone else that would be willing to sign this lop-sided contract. Tubbs would be left playing with himself...

What the hell are you talking about? Tech getting booted and TCU being asked. Yeah, that would really help the conference make up from losing NU and CU.

I honestly don't think the Big12 (Texas) cares about adding quality opponents

Judging from your response, I'm going to conclude that you have completely misinterpreted my post.

While I've been one of the bigger proponents of the theory that Tech sucks and adds less than Baylor historically, they do have power RIGHT NOW. Texas can't lose anyone from this POS conference right now. They can't bribe everyone.

I certainly don't believe the power lies with tech and Ok St, however, those teams were not going to be left out of conference expansion and have some power in this situation. Baylor, and the north teams that were going to be left out, have zero power and need the Big 12 to continue to exist. Tech and Ok St, however, are in a better position to cause some waves in this.
