How does that work? The big ten network gets most funding from subscription fees on all cable bills in markets where they have a school. SEC gets money from 12 teams competing every weekend on ESPN and CBS. Notre Dame cost NBC tons during losing seasons...

How will longhorn network get paid? Pay per view in austin?

Maybe they'll get their liberal buddy President Obama to print more money. He's doing it for the Chinese and the Saudis, why not for the USA?

This. They expect to make $1 to $2 million per year.

Same way any cable channel gets paid - they charge a fee to the cable system for carrying the programming. You know every cable system in the state of Texas will have to carry it, and I would think that cable systems in every state bordering Texas will carry it. Also a lot of other major markets will probably pick it up due to demand from Tex alums. I know that the Big10 network is available on Atlanta area cable networks.

It's also available on my DFW area cable network, and I have watched it a few times.
