Notre Dame has a truly national fanbase. Nobody outside of Texas residents and Texas alums give a shite about Texas.

Kinda an irrelevant question - they are the two teams with the most to offer a conference financially
but don't seem to be in competition in any obvious way - IMO Notre Dame ends up in the Big 10 eventually and Texas is going to sit back and think about their next move assuming the Big 12 survives
