The hypocrisy on this board is funny

Every post from an SEC fan I have seen is that Texas is a big bunch of p*****s (can I curse on this board without getting banned, I genuinely don't know) for deciding to play outside of the SEC. All of the reasons Texas fans have given are dismissed as shallow and the popular SEC opinion is that the quality of competition is all that should matter.....
.......BUT, when someone asks "Would you like to have Texas in the SEC?", every SEC fan, to a man, says no. There are complaints about culture differences, the arrogance of Texas alumni/fans, claims that every Longhorn is a fig and so on.....everything is considered but the quality of competition that would increase if Texas joined the SEC. Texas is an elite program and you guys know it (and most acknowledge it). Texas would make any conference better.
So why is it okay for you guys to consider external factors (other than the quality of competition) in your own personal analysis of whether or not Texas should be in the SEC but when Texas legitimately weighs those very same factors they are p*****s? It could be said that SEC fans, using your own standards, are p*****s that are afraid to play Texas,

I'd love to see Texas in the SEC.. especially if TAMU and OU announce they're joining before Texas does.

It makes Total sense for Texas to join the SEC. So why is Texas running from it? I think that is why Texas is getting bashed so much. They are bringing all this on themselves as they always do.

Why all the frustration?
If Texas joined the SEC, it would benefit both entities IMO. I think when you grossly exaggerated your statements and used generalities such as "Every post from an SEC fan...," you are attempting get a rise out of "us."
On behalf of many SEC fans, the arrogance you display is why you are disrespected as a fan base.
Just simma down na, step away from the computer, get some pus, and sleep it off.

It's not "hypocrisy", it's difference of opinion.
You may not realize this, but this is a message board made of of many individuals with differing opinions.
It's not just some application running locally on your computer coming up with random statements.
Yes, you may curse. After all, we're LSU - Not Texas. There is a setting in your profile where you may induce the profanity filter.

You guys can say what you want but check out the result from this poll on this board:
LINK
SEC fans overwhelmingly don't want Texas in the SEC event though Texas would make it a better conference. Obviously, they are afraid to play the Longhorns.

Just like when FSU joined the ACC. They didn't want any part of the SEC because they wanted to make sure they remained the "big dogs". What happened? Their program was brought DOWN to the level of the other ACC programs (in football) instead of bringing UP the level of the conference. I wouldn't be offended if the same thing happens to Texas.

They may be.
But from MY perspective, Texas has been scared to play LSU since the 60's.
Why didn't these two teams play from 1962-2002? It makes no sense, until you think back to 1969 when the Tigers were all lined up to play Texas in the Cotton, but fearing a beatdown of the nature of the '62 Cotton, Texas with the Cotton Bowl comittee lobbied Notre Dame to end its bowl ban.
Why would Texas be so concerned about losing to LSU? LSU could either take the #1 spot or at least ruin Teaxs' chances at the NC, and was poised even up the series.
The idea of having a strong team in Louisiana - so close to Teaxs' recruiting grounds, was deemed to NOT be in Texas' interests. From then on they have tried their best to pretend like LSU doesn't exist over here.
So through 1960-1995 LSU scheduled aggie instead. Trust me, the LSU AD would've jumped at the chance to play Texas.
7-9-1, I'm not scared of Texas.

I'm not that worked up. I have resigned myself to the fact that the Cal alum that Texas has as its University President is sending Texas to the Pac 16 no matter what. I just thought that this was an interesting observation about this board......

You answered your own question. Why should Texas do something that enhances LSU's recruiting efforts with no benefit? If the roles were reversed, LSU would do the same.

I would rather have Texas and OU along with aTm the best case scinerio. It would make this the best conference no matter what happens as for as a 16 team conference goes.
My thing is this I do not believe what is happening now with the Big-12 is right for College football. I think now is the time for the powers that be sit down and work out a salution that would ensure 4 to six evenly matched conferences by area of the country so that there could be a play-off. I feel now is the time for this to happen because, now everyone wants something to happen and I believe if you align the teams by area of the country to where they are located we would be able to keep all the traditional games that mean a lot to the fans and the rich history of College Football and also keep the teams playing other teams from their eara with a couple from outside the conference so that there could be a play-off at the end of the year and all done with playing 12-14 games a year encluding bowl games.
If you have 4-6 conferences made up of superpowers meaning the stronger teams in the upper part of division 1. That would be 60 teams in 6 conferences or 40 teams in 4 conferences and then have a play-off between the top 4 or 6 champs then you could have the bowls much like you do now and the NC game would be played the way it is now, last. The Bowls would be intact and we would have our play-offs for a NC.
We are all talking realignment now and I feel now is the time for this to happen. I do not think we will ever have this chance again if we do not take advantage of it now! JMHO!

Typical Texas narcissism. The roles ARE reversed. The difference is that LSU is prepared to risk their recruiting grounds to Texas, but Texas has been scared to reciprocate.
Hence my belief that Texas has been scared to play LSU.

"Narcissim"? Louisiana cranks out great football players but not nearly as many as Texas. We put out many more 5* players because of our population ergo we have more to lose.

Shouldn't he be on a PAC-10 board? (Pussies Athletic Conference)

Recruiting is not a worry for Texas. They pretty much get who they want in Texas, and that is enough. Good thing for LSU is that they can only sign 25 per year. I think recruiting is a non-issue here.
