Anyone been down there recently? Looking at the recent maps it look like the oil really hasn't been going in that direction, and I had a client tell me this weekend that the western end of Last Island is open for fishing, and he was headed down there.

Any truth there?

Yes! Western end of Last Island is open as well as a little bit of the marsh has been reopened. Still a lot of that area is closed. Mardi Gras rig is in federal waters and it is closed.

Wish they would get off there buts and open some of this area back up that doesn't need to be closed.

Supposedly you have to go through Calliou Boca to get out. Not familiar with that area. Decent run from Cocodrie/Chauvin though.
We tried the lakes north of Hwy. 57, nothing. Just tried plastic though.
Were back in time to see all the ambulances fly by heading to the gas line explosion.
