Let's say the Pac10 and SEC split OK and TX...

In five years, which schools' football teams will be better off from the standpoint of finances and athletics from where they were before as a result of the move?

I'd guess OU and TAMU will both be making more money from the SEC than UT and OSU from the Pac10.

But on the flip side UT and OSU would be ahead in wins overall.

JMO, what's yours?

I agree with that assessment, I personally just don't see how these four teams can stay in different conferences in the long term, just like the Orangeblood guy said, that would really be a War of the Roses type divorce

Okie State will suck in either the Pac16 or SEC

I guess they would have a shot at winning their division if they got lucky and upset Texas one year

It could be that going to the Pac10 would be only a short term gain in wins for Okie State and Texas.

Remember how both Florida State and Miami went to the ACC instead of the SEC because they thought they could dominate in that league?

Leaving Texas to go it alone might well be the best thing both OU and TAMU could do for their programs.
