When will the cluster$&@% take effect?

With Nebraska and the Pac 10 Colardo reports it's inevitable.
When would this take effect? Immedietly? Or would they play one more season in the Big 12?

Why would it be a clusterfrick? It'll help weed out the shittier schools (Baylor, Kansas, K-State) and provide a better product.

I've wondered about this also. What would it do with schedules already in place several years down the road?
