For the life of me I cannot fathom how anybody but super-sanctimonious liberal art fricks could bear to stick with this show (and those of you who know me realize I'm not exactly a rabid right-winger)

I wanted to like it SO BAD. I talked myself into liking Goodman's character and the Indian Chief's character but they are as unbearable as the rest. (By the way - how fricking bad is this show if I've watched all 8 episodes and only know the names of 2 characters in it?)

There is not ONE likeable character on this series. I want to punch every one of these whiny, dependant, pretentious, liberal fricks in the mouth. And then do it again.

But I will still watch the show I guess. I don't know why - New Orleans guilt maybe

What an arse! Uses a forum topic to go off on "liberal art fricks" (I'm guessing his idea of a good movie is the Dukes of Hazzard remake) when all he has to do is change the channel and stop whining in public. arse. Hat.

Are we conserving them for some reason? And yes, it pretty shrill, liberal and annoying.

And there it is - the hackneyed "you're too much of a troglodyte to 'get it'" response.

I gave it more of a chance than it deserves and got out after 4 episodes.

Are you kidding me, guy? I am insanely interested in foreign films, docs, HBO series, etc. My point is that I am a social liberal and I still can't bear Treme. It's so preachy and politicized that I can't understand how anybody right of Keith Olberman could bear more than 2 episodes before giving up.

Ugh - never mind... why am I trying to justify myself to you?
