What an episode!! This episode had so much emotion and heartache and Matt gave the performance of a lifetime. Once again FNL proves to be one of the best shows on television. Sucks they only have 13 episodes on season 4

Was this the one where Matty had to deal with his fathers funeral?

If so, yeah.....had to be one of the best episodes of the entire series. They guy who plays Matt did a phenomenal job in it.

I agree. been saying this is the best show on tv for 4 years now. Zach Gilford gave the performance of his life in this episode.

Quick question..for you married guys does your wife watch it with you? Mine has nothing to do with it She'd rather watch dancing with the retards than something of fricking substance.

My wife loves this show even more than I do, but that may be because she is a teacher in a "football fanatic" school system (some of the school politics hit close to home). She balled for half the episode with the funeral for Matt's dad. It was so bad our dogs kept getting in her face and checking to see what was wrong with her.

My wife's a high school teacher so its mandatory we watch any show with a high school setting.

What makes this show appealing to me is the reluctance of the actors and writers to go overboard with southern/Texas stereotypes. I think they play it realistically and allow each character to show his/her better qualities at varying times.

The one thing I question is the acceptance of drinking teenagers in Dillon. Hell, Tim Riggins was the town drunk as a high school sophomore.

Loved the episode. One thing I questioned was the guys coming in and throwing dirt on the grave right after the service, with people still there.

I mean, come on, that was a little unrealistic.
