Have you watched our pitching the last month or so? Bert has been one of our very few reliable pitchers in the bullpen...PM has been pretty much handcuffed lately.

Pardon my French but pitching Bourgeois in the 9th was Mainieri's worst decision he's made at LSU.

He did screw this, it was obvious UC-Irvine was starting to figure Ross out (about 2 innings before he was pulled out) yet he stayed in the game. Then the dominoes started to fall, one bad decision effected the entire game.

Yea, because you have a much better knowledge of who's pitches are working now than PM to be able to say he "fricked this game up in an epic manner."

Why do you have Alsup warming up (who was lights out in the SEC tournament) and then bring in Bourgeois who has been crap all year? They are both righthanders. Bourgeois has never closed out a game for LSU. That move by itself defies logic. I would love to hear coach defend it but I doubt he can. If you don't have confidence in Ott then why not Alsup who has the hot hand?
