Surprised no one really has touched on this. Is anyone worried about his slump he is in? He didn't have his best performance in the SEC tourny. I'm sure he will get out of the funk, but bad timing.

Also, let me say this is in no way a knock on him. Just speaking strictly on his play the last few games.

I don't think Gibbs made it to the ballpark on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm confident Micah will turn it around.

It was really just the last 2 games of the tourny...he played great the first two. Hopefully he just had a bad couple games and he'll bounce back.

Would you rather have Gibbs on fire and the rest struggling, or Dean, Hanover, Nola and Katz on fire and Gibbs struggling?

I've never seen his throw to second miss so badly. He's a great player, and hope the MG from pre-SEC tourny returns

He dropped his average under 400 for the first time in a looong time...

where does that even come from? I didn't even bring those guys into it. I somehow knew someone would try to turn this into a "would you rather see the rest of the team suck" post.

This is strictly a Gibbs thread

All I'm saying is Gibbs was struggling but the rest of the team picked up the slack. We did better with multiple people hitting consistently, instead of just Gibbs.

I know. Wasn't his BA up around .420 before the tourny started? I think its down to .390ish. Could be wrong about that though

i agree. just hate to see the only guy that played consistent the whole season, slump NOW of all times. I'm glad the team is playing together again. With his bat, so much more damage will be done to the oppostion

Gibbs hit the ball hard a couple times, he was just getting unlucky with some good defense plays. He'll be fine.

No. Too disciplined at the plate for that to keep happening. He is going to slug away this weekend.

Well. He did a better job of it last year. He's better at the plate this year.

You havent seen too many games then. Not too many teams steal on him. But he's definitely thrown out his share

I think every stolen base against us this year was b/c the runners were getting huge jumps on our pitchers. I can't recall any stealing on Micah with a poor jump.
