Sitting on a porch at the beach, pulling in channel 38 from my BR cable box. Love high tech toys. This thing has paid for itself many times over.

Can yall tell me more about it..? How much? Easy to set up ?

I have the iPhone and am looking at the app right now for it...it says it's only 29.99. For some reason I just don't think that's right and fear I'll be screwed If I orde that app.

I would love mine if I wasn't currently on edge. Stupid weddings in the middle of nowhere

You have to buy a slingbox as well. I bought the Slingbox Pro 2 years ago and it cost be $185. The setup is really simple especially if you have a router. The connection to the internet is a single ethernet cord. The connections to the cable box/TV/DvD player/any other video or audio source are pretty simple. I have incoming 2 RCA video/audio, 1 incoming S-video, and 1 incoming co-axial cable for a total of 4 input sources.

For the software, you download the computer version to a laptop/desktop from the slingbox website. There will be an installation wizard that will help you do everything. You will give your singbox a name and setup a password. The whold process takes less than 20 minutes.

After you download the software for a phone, all you have to do is to input your slingbox name and password. Set it to connect to your slingbox automatically and you're set. I believe they also have free technical service for a year after purchase. I have never needed it despite moving 3 times, changing laptops twice, and changing phones once.

And like the original poster said, it paid for itself a thousand times over.
