I'm not too familiar with how the college post season works. Are the tigers in a position to make the NCAA tournament despite their unsatisfactory regular season or do they have to do well in this SEC tournament to qualify (and if so how well). And does a SEC tournament win guarantee a spot hosting regionals and or super-regionals?

Wow... assholes.

But to answer your question, with the win today LSU is most likely in the NCAA tournament no matter what. But their chances of hosting are very small even if they win the tournament. Not impossible, but also not likely.

Also, if they did somehow end up hosting it would probably be as a #2 seed.
