Yeah seriously. He was raw and has really developed.

Also helped that Cleveland looked like a bunch of Stevie Wonders out there trying to guard him. I have zero idea WTF Brown's defensive philosophy was supposed to be against him.

I see people say this a lot. He was damn good in college. He is a much better shooter now. But he has always been a great PG and defender. He just isn't a stat line guy, which is what I'm sure most people look at when they evaluate him as a college player. Look at his NBA season stats- they don't really jump out either. He is someone you have to actually watch to see how good he is.

Rondo's really good but Mo Williams couldn't guard a chair.

And in 5 or 10 years when people say they don't know why people ever thought Rondo was that good, they will base it off of the 14/9/4 and 12/8/5 he posted in the last two seasons as evidence, as opposed to the ridiculous game he had tonight and the 29/18/13 he put up in Game 4. Just like they look at his college stats now and don't appreciate how good he was in college.

eta: For the record, I love Rondo. One of my favorite players and has been for a long time.

Rondo was UK basketball while he was there. Especially his sophomore season. He even led the team in boards as a 6'1" PG.

I didn't watch much of the series but what I did see of him was some of the most beautiful moves I've seen in the NBA in a while.

Since I first saw him play at UK. Im a huge Louisville fan and have regretted that Pitino signed Telfair (who went straight to the NBA) over Rondo (who is from Louisville and wanted to go there) from the first time I saw him play. I didn't know him when he was 12 though, if that is your point. But I've obviously watched him a lot longer than people who say he "wasnt very good in college" which is the main point I was making in the first place.

It's going to get interesting with him and Jameer Nelson, Nelson has been on a tear these playoffs!

I would say it's fair to say he wasn't "very good"

He was a good player, taken 21st overall or something in that ball park.

A lot of the predraft mock drafts and evaluations had him in the top 10. He dropped because of attitude concerns. He got it into a lot with Tubby Smith (same with Doc Rivers by the way).

eta: And anyone taken 21st is pretty fricking good. Collison was taken around there and he was a very good college PG.
