We stormed the field three times in 2000.
Tennessee, Mississippi State (they were actually good back then and it was a big overtime win), and Alabama.

I specifically remember us NOT storming the field against MSU. That was a hell of a game though and State was top-10 team. It never gets talked about, really.

people attempted to rush the field. i believe it was the week after the tennessee game (could be wrong though)
i remember getting to field level and the marshalls were tryin to keep everyone off.
the bama game was a free-for-all though. everyone just rushed past them.

There may have been a couple people that got on the field against State, but it was nothing compared to Tennessee and Bama.

I'm almost positive the goal posts came down. State was highly ranked and it was OT...

Well, I'm almost positive they didn't. Since neither of us can prove it, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

My memory is starting to blur together with stuff back then, but I know the field was rushed against Mississippi State. I don't rememeber if the goalposts came down, though. I wanna lean towards they didn't.
But they greased the shite out of them for the Alabama game, and we could only get the one in the north endzone down.
It was a awesome scene watching people trying to wipe the grease off with their shirts as they climbed further up.

I could have sworn they did 3 times that year.

No I know. That was a great game, I was there. We were down like 31-17 going into the 4th if I recall. They still had Joe Lee Dunn at the helm and had a nasty defense. I remember thinking that the fans would rush the field and being shocked when they didn't.
