I've been watching a good deal of television series on Netflix that I didn't watch/know about when they were in their original run. I'm looking for some suggestions as I move forward. It's not necessary to talk about shows that are on currently, because, chances are, I already watch it.

Some ones I've watched already:
Battlestar Galactica (BTW I am forever indebted to this board for pointing this one out to me)
Arrested Development
The Wire
Oz
Deadwood
Rome

Any ideas?

Is that kind of like an up to date Star Trek?

I'm up to date on every single one of these. I guess I should have been more explicit in saying that any show currently on television, I watch. I'm sort of a television addict.

The Sopranos someone else suggested just went in my queue.

ETA: I'm mostly looking for things that I might have missed the first time around.

West Wing.

I'm fairly conservative and I loved it. Watch it all the way through about once a year.

That's only one season right? Better or the same as BSG?

one season and a follow up movie "Serenity" I really liked Battlestar but liked both Farscape and Firefly better

Only 14 episodes so it won't take long to watch.

Never seen it myself but I keep meaning to check it out.

+ Infinity. My politics also didn't match up with what some labelled the "Left Wing". But even being fairly conservative I can say without compunction that this is one of the smartest and most captivating shows of all time and I would recommend it to anyone conservative, liberal anyone.

Show kinda lags a bit after Aaron Sorkin leaves (after season 4), but I could watch the entire series over and over again without complaint. If you find out that you like West Wing I would recommend checking out "Sports Night". Created by Aaron Sorkin (creator of West Wing) Sports night is really funny and intelligent and shows the inside workings of a Sports Center type show.

Sopranos is far and away the best TV show of all time.
