How do you think the 2010 LSU starting OL should look?

watching some highlights of Russell Shepard and highlights of other games last year, I noticed the OL, and it seems to me that it should look like this.

LT - Barksdale
LG - Hurst
C - Lonergan
RG - Blackwell
RT - Dworaczyk

I never played OL, nor do I know specific strategies about it, but I know that I never heard Josh Dworaczyk name being praised, ever. Since he's a starter, he must be good at something, but I wouldn't mind seeing him make the switch to RT, and Hurst moved to LG. Hurst looked good at the spring game, and IMO, was the best OL out there that day. I also would like to see the OL look like this:

LT - Hurst
LG - Williford/Barksdale
C - Lonergan
RG - Blackwell
RT - Barksdale/Dworacyzk

I believe that in the SEC, you have to have big heavy OL in the middle to win in the trenches, and Dworaczyk, to me has more of a RT frame. He's good for pulling and screening, but not getting low and driving, however, I personally would not like to be in a 3-point stance in front of him, but I'm not an SEC DL.

I'm pretending like I don't have finals

Josh Dworaczyk looks to be staying at left guard. When I talked to him at spring practices, he said that's where he's been getting his reps.

The best line in my opinion (I'm not in Studrawa's league in evaluating Oline)

OT Barksdale
OT Hurst
OG Dworaczyk
OG Faulk, Shaw or Wiliford
C Blackwell

I think Hebert and Lonergan are not good enough to play C in the SEC!

I can understand about T-Boned, but Lonergan i feel can hold his own. I'm not sure about the his leadership characteristics, which are a must when playing center.

Hard to say, but I'd go with this:

LT Josh D.
LG Blackwell
C Lonergan
RG Hurst
RT Barksdale

Has wilkerson made a major impact on the line yet? I know he hasn't been around very long in terms of coaching so I'm just curious if anyone has heard specifics.

It's amazing how many of y'all have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Dworaczyk is not a tackle and Blackwell is not a center. Stop trying to suggest what the starting line-up should be. This is what coaches are for.

what makes you think Dwor can play tackle?

call it a hunch. but he's got the frame for it, they thought about putting him at RT in the spring, and he's kicked out to tackle before when Ciron's been out (look at who was at LT when Shep made that TD run vs. Auburn), so it's not like it's that far-fetched.

Whatever happened to Shaw? LSU was raving about him his Freshman year. Hes basically fallen off the map. Will he be a attrition victim? I wonder if the change in blocking schemes screwed him over?

Miles did mention him at T in early Spring. In Miles speak though, its the opposite, so he stays G. Either way, D was a huge weak link on our line last year. He didn't have the girth to play inside...
