Do you know what a price gouge is?

Dial back the stupid, son.

Prices for both seafood & oil will be set by supply & demand, just like they always have been.

you say that as if our gas prices rely strictly on supply and demand. that is far from the truth. how many times have you heard them say shite like.. prices are going to have to be raised because demand is low.( ) the OP knows that prices go up and never go back down as they should.

one oil rig won't reduce the supply of oil that much, but you should expect to see the seafood industry prices shoot up becuase of the oil spill

you may be right but im pretty sure when it comes to price per barrel supply and demand play a huge factor.

Demand for oil won't change much at all mainly becuase we are addicted to oil and if you want to go anywhere in the country you have to use oil. But the supply for oil is a different story. you will start to see oil prices go way up in the near future epically if we can't find new oil deposits. When we start to run out of oil the price of oil will be really high.

Really?because im pretty sure gas was around $4 a gallon before the economy crashed and went down close to $2 because of weak global demand.

Oh...I'm sorry. I see that you're retarded. I didn't know that.

My apologies if I came across as mean. I didn't realize that you were retarded.

you're talking about years dude. i most definitely read reports about gas prices rising because of low demand. gas prices are controlled very meticulously. they can choose to make more or less to control prices. and they do

"reports", eh?

And you're saying gas (assuming you mean gasoline) prices are rising BECAUSE OF LOW demand???

This was an exploratory rig. It won't affect prices, BP wasn't planning on having this oil.

Huh? they were suspending the well to come back later and tie it in to a production platform. They stated probable resources in the tens of millions of bbls. I know what you are implying about how this discovery has little effect on gas prices but I am pretty sure BP planned on "having this oil"
