LOL, the guy you are calling an Idiot has made more in one year than you can expect to in your life. What a joke, he's an idiot
So did Mike Tyson, does this mean I can't call him an idiot either. The amount of money one makes has no direct correlation to whether I can call them an idiot or not.

You know nothing about me, don't pretend you do. Trust me, Miles is a lot closer to being the village idiot than I am, no matter how much coin he banks. I will admit that seeing the amount of money Les makes and how incompetent I find him to be, has given me serious pause to reflect on my career choices. I am at or near the top of my chosen profession, and I make nowhere near the kind of money Les brings in. You are correct in that assertion.
As for your $100k per year reference, GTFO. I fail to see how whether I make more or less than $100k per year has any relevance on my ability to criticize LSU's football coach. Does the fact that I do give me any more street cred with you?
EDITED: After reading your post further, I must also add that you are wrong. Les does NOT make more in one year than I will in my lifetime. Still fail to see the relevance here.

2000 Nick Saban 8-4
2001 Nick Saban 10-3
2002 Nick Saban 8-5
2003 Nick Saban 13-1
2004 Nick Saban 9-4
2005 Les Miles 11-2
2006 Les Miles 11-2
2007 Les Miles 12-2
2008 Les Miles 8-5
2009 Les Miles 9-4
Am I happy right now with the present coaching situation?
Count me "0" on that question.

I look forward to summer practices, with the new freshmen.
If we can run the ball on North Carolina and win, I will be happy then.
But not until I get this bad taste out of my mouth from last season.
I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last three plays of the Ole Miss game. I do not hold the State Penn game against Miles, due to the field.
I was not happy with the choice of Les Miles, when he was selected from Ok State. I had seen him coach Ok State on TV, vs Okies.
There were two big 2nd half Ok State coaching mistakes in that game.
I had been rooting AGAINST the Okies and the Stoops brothers, but... when the mistakes both happened after Ok state had had the lead, I thought, this Les Miles cannot stand success.
I was disappointed he was picked to be HC at LSU.
My intimate partner, female, who is an NFL fan, watches LSU with me, as a social occaision. She watched the Ole Miss game.
She was SCREAMING AT THE TV, the last minute of the game.
I quote: "WHAT ARE THEY DOING? WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!!
KICK THE BALL!!"
She is also VERY opposed to Jarrett Lee ever setting foot on the field again versus a top opponent.
Just in case you were wondering.
I would put her down as a no.
I think his interviews are fun. I like the wants.
I dont like the clock management and I hate the necessity to look at the sideline when time is running out. They need to ditch that business in the last two minutes of halves.

I agree it's a rythm killer, but young QBs blow at reads.

so since Les Miles record is better than Saban, would you agree that he is a better coach? You are saying x amout of wins means he is a great coach. If you cant see that our players dont show improvement, not just the qb because that is beyond terrible, then you are blind. There are numerous coaches that could have done what les miles has done and numerous coaches that could have done better.

Well, that wouldnt be street cred cause I do as well and know you can't be that crazy to call a guy that worked hard to get what he has an idiot. Mike Tyson beat people up to make money so I'm not sure he counts. You (if you're who you say you are) and I both know Les didn't just trip and fall into a head football coaching job in the SEC. That alone shows he's no idiot.
If you don't like what he's doing then fine but he's so far from being an idiot it's sad when someone (who claims to be educated) calls him one.

i didnt mean coach, I meant players

Saban got in their arse if they screwed up, Miles just pats them on the arse and tells them its okay. Saban didnt play his upperclassmen because of their status, he played the best players that gave them the best chance to win.

It is not just Miles, the wizard can carry his arse as well. Chavis, I think, will be a good coach for the Tigers

Try and watch some LSU football please. You don't know what he's saying while patting. Also, did you hear Les's tempered yet upset remarks during the spring game? He just doesn't make a huge scene out of it like Nicky

Ok, I'll play along. He called timeout after an interception, not realizing the clock had stopped. He didn't realize the clock had restarted after the Personal Foul call late vs. Penn State. He let an interminable amount of time run off the clock BEFORE calling timeout against Ole Miss, then had no contingency plan for what would happen if the pass was completed short of the end zone. Against, Penn State, he did it again. Look at the sidelines, while the clock ticked down -- the FG was not ready to go. This is inexcusable. He either lacks a fundamental understanding of the rules of the game, or he is incapable of thinking under pressure. Either way, it's not good when your $4 million a year head coach is this dense. Sorry, if my choice of words offends you. Perhaps I should change my reference from "idiot" to "not bright enough". Based on what I see during games, and based on what I hear in interviews, I don't see any other way to call it. At best, he is a man of below average intelligence. For $4 mill a year, I expect more.
Posted on 4/28/10 at 3:15 pm to LJBurton
That's a much more reasonable assesment. I'd still say it's a stretch to call him "not bright" but I do agree with the mistakes being beyond excuse. Great, the guy made some poor moves and you're not happy? I'm ok with that.
He made a lot of good ones in '07. I think he can make good ones again. Thanks for being reasonable about it.

did he? I think superior talent carried us that year along with a couple miracles.

This is the thing, If Miles was a good coach, you wouldnt have to defend him on a daily basis. It is not just the people on this board that think this of him, people around the country think he is a bad coach. From various NFL organizations to fans of other schools, people know that Miles is a huge reason why LSU football is in the place that it is at right now. I think LSU can do better. If not, I hope les will grow some brains and learn how to manage a clock
