and, as I had hoped, since all the cliches were exhausted in the first episode (and the beginning of the second with the mandatory voodoo reference ), actual story lines are beginning to develop and the New Orleans-specific aspects are more subtle and inter-woven rather than being so in-your-face......

Speaking of in-your-face, though, did I really hear the white slacker/music fanatic (what is his name) say something to his gay neighbor along the lines of "In the overall cosmic scheme of things, the more cock that is being sucked in the world, the better."????

Wow!

People doing/saying this that are actually done in NOLA on a daily basis aren't cliche.

I posted after the first episode that it was full of New Orleans cliches and that it seemed more like a tourism video than something to be taken seriously......his response was in reference to that, I assume......

i know what you're talking about.
Basically he's saying the thing that people are calling cliche is the stuff that actually happens in new orleans, not just random ideas, items, or elements being overused to form the culture of new orleans

yeah and i agree. i don't think he meant it in a gay way.

but if all of islam was getting their knobs polished, then they wouldn't be strapping bombs to their chests. imo.

They are. It is so hilarious to me that most Americans think that Islamic men are "conservative" about sex, when the reality is that most of them are actively bisexual and a lot less hung up about sex, in general, than American men are.......regardless of the pronouncements of a few crazy mullahs.....

bad example then, but come on, you ever wanted to fight someone, cause trouble, or do anything destructive right after a BJ? that's the point.

Everyone disregard NJREB, all he talks about is how he believes every male is actually gay. At least I think he's that guy.

I thought this last episode had the worst cliche with the "Little town down on tha bayou" shite when that lawyer went to the sheriff's office.

Its hilarious to me that just because you have sex with girls and dudes you are somehow sexually "enlightened." I also find it hilarious that you left out the part about how accepted it is to have sex with boys over there. I don't think that very "enlightened."

I believe it was NJReb who was the guy who got hammered in the SEC Rant for making comments about thinking that Tim Tebow was an attractive man and had a nice body/figure
