Halo Reach Beta on the 3rd..Who is in?

or is it the 5th? whatever. Go watch the vidoc on your xbox right now.!! it looks incredible. There is actually stragegery now, so even the MW2 boys might like it.

The Halo:Reach Beta will be available on May 3rd to anyone with a copy of Halo 3: ODST.

They also just announced today the official prices for the Halo: Reach Standard, Limited, and Legendary editions. LINK
I really don't think I can begin to express exactly how excited I am for this. The Arena looks like where I'll be spending most of my time. But Invasion looks really sweet. The whole thing is going to be amazing.

I'll be playing it, can't wait, although the one thing that does bother me is the jet packs, I can see people really over-using that. The magnum is now a 5 shot kill, I wonder what the DMR (new BR) is going to be like.

They showed this in the ViDoc, it looks sweet. As far as the jet packs i wouldnt worry to much about it. just like in every game if its too awesome they will nerf the hell outa it. the shield is what looks overpowered!.

The new armor abilities all even out pretty well. And you will take fall damage in this game, so if you just jetpack up into the air, you better have enough juice to ease back down or your shield will take a hit when you hit the ground.
Also, just floating around in the air makes you an easy target for anyone using the pistol, DMR, needle rifle, and especially the needler. Evading the needler is not too difficult on foot, but in the air, when people can hit you from pretty much any angle, where you have zero cover, I really don't think the jetpack will be a big advantage.
Over at Bungie.net, they are releasing a bunch of videos of gameplay footage.
This video: [link=( https://www.bungie.net/News/Blog.aspx?mode=news#cid25834)]LINK[/link] shows one of the developers playing the game. It's a 12 minute video, but if you want to watch you can see the jetpack doesn't really give any sort of unfair advantage.

That vid is sick. what MW2 player can watch that and not think its cool. Anti maybe but i think he is a closet Halo fanatic! I bet he read the Novels.

people love camping to much to bother with halo.. most of those people get slaughtered in slayer
btw- i lost my invitation through odst, i heard that everybody that got invited to beta got an email.. is it to late to get on board?

You heard wrong. You don't "invited". If you have the ODST disc, you have the Beta. On May 3, you just go into the main menu of ODST, go down to "Extras", and you download the Reach beta. As long as you have an XBOX Live Gold account, you're in.
The very few people that received any type of e-mail got a sneak preview of the Beta.

FWIW, I bet the armor lock ability will make you forget all about the bubble shield.
