Is this the case with every first round pick? Or just the ones you don't like?
i like Tebow
i just don't like the pick or the fact they traded up to get a position that wasn't really needed and picked Tebow of all people.
This is a team that lost 8 of its last 10 games.
and Orton had a good season. 21 TDs 12 INT. His QB rating was a respectable 86%
a team that historically is a great running team, who couldnt run the ball last year
esp when Clausen and McCoy still on the board
it almost seems like a publicity stunt. I cant wrap my finger around it.
and you ask why the high expectations?? like i said, they have 2 QBs, one who they traded for this offseason. They are sending the message that they think Tebow is the guy who can lead their team and not these other guys. They even traded up for him.
he has a lot on his shoulders. Just about anyone who knows football thinks he isnt suitable to be a great NFL QB. Except the Bronco's. Which is exactly why he needs to justify his draft position or its a massive failure

I guess they think Tebow could potentially be better than Clausen and Mccoy.

Justifying his selection is pure subjective. If Tebow has a career similar to McNabb's career and never wins a super bowl, but was a solid starter for them and was always competitive, then I think the pick was justified.

Sorry. Didn't mean to imply it that way. I meant it more like picks you don't like, rather than him personally.
He was their second pick in the first round, so I think failure unless pro bowl or super bowl winner is a bit strong. Unless that applies to the 24 guys before him (not the super bowl qb part).
