Each team still gets 10 minutes in the first round, right? Based on the draft starting at 6:30 central the Saints could be picking right around midnight.

According to ESPN, we are in talks with KC to trade our 1st and 2nd for their 1st(5th overall).
Gerald McCoy maybe?

Really?! That doesn't even come close to matching the trade value chart for draft picks. I have a hard time believing they'd do that without a player or a #1 from next year being included as well. And there's no way the Saints would make the trade until the draft started since they couldn't be sure whoever they're targeting would be there until that point. Given their recent history though, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints do anything. They've traded up, down, for picks, for players; just about everything you could imagine.

yeah that doesnt make sense at all. people trade 2 firsts for the #5 not 32 and 64.

Financially it might.. You realize how many top picks they've had recently?! Can you imagine having all our money tied up in a couple reggies?!

that would work well for me because i get off work at 9

You sure your're not looking at a 2 year old article from the Dorsey draft?

KC has had a top 5 pick the last 4 years, they can't afford another top pick.
Even if it's not with us, I can promise you they trade down.

Just checked and couldn't find anything on this. Not saying it didn't happen, it's just not getting any cyber-ink.
A trade with KC does have a certain degree of credibility to it. As others have said, KC has a ton on money tied up in the early picks over the last few years. Remember, the GM (Poli) didn't become successful at New England by spending big bucks on rookies and the lack of success with the Chiefs could convince them to get cheaper labor with lower picks.
I'll throw out this scenario:
Saints trade their pick and J. Brown for the Chiefs #5.
In essence, the Saints will be getting first round value for Brown and the Chiefs get lower in the draft and a solid LT...which they desperately need in order to keep Cassell alive.
This wouldn't be the first time the Saints provided the Chiefs a starting "All-Pro" LT. The Chief fans would love it and embrace it; they'd see it as the second coming of Willie Roaf.
ERA: BTW, just about every mock draft I've looked at has the Chiefs drafting Trent Williams, Bryan Bulaga, or Russell Okung...all of them are OTs. Just kinda lends more support to the idea that we might/should cut a deal with the
Chiefs and make J. Brown the sweetener.
The problem with trading into the Top 10, other than the money, is that there's no player at a need position worthy of being picked that early. Gerald McCoy will be off the board before the #5 pick comes up.

I checked Morts Twitter, schefters, espn.com, SR.com and I know it hasn't been mentioned on TD yet.
I think you misheard something.

Believe what you want.
Never said that this was a 100% for sure deal. It just one of those things that gets thrown around between GMs. Fact of the matter is, the Chiefs have to trade down with all of the top 10 draft players from years past that are currently eating up there salary. If it's not the Saints, it will be someone else.
