he didn't mean to offend anyone on the poliboard today, and he apologized to CFBrules as well.

he made a comment that isn't shared by many in society... and he's sorry for it.

babies with known birth defects/disabilities that would cause them not to have a "normal" life should be aborted.

something along those lines.

A lot more people in society share that belief than you think. Certainly more common than "OMG OBAMA IS A MOOSLIM AND WUZ BORN IN KENYA IMPEACH HIM" and other such BS the loons on poli-board get away with.

I am surprised at the surprise shown in this thread about Elisha getting banned. Again, while I understood there would likely be some stern comments in the thread, his saying my daughter should have been aborted surprised me. That he apologized when he found out it was my daughter doesn't mean the comment wasn't callous. He spoke from ignorance and didn't think before he spoke.

Obviously it hurt because it was my daughter, but if wishing death on someone isn't a reason for a ban, for be it for me to understand what would qualify as ban worthy.

I agree that it was callous and completely ridiculous. Though he didn't specifically wish death on your daughter. And, to be fair, he probably doesn't view the unborn as a life. You probably know that I don't share that view and I may have shared with you that I work closely with the developmentally disabled and have for years. I think his comment showed his ignorance and lack of discretion... if TD banned everyone who displayed those qualities, there would be very few posters left on this site.

Perhaps a difference of opinion on when life begins can prompt a differet way of perceiving the comments, but denying someone the right to life through an abortion bears little difference to saying they should be dead to me.

Again, he apologized and I appreciated it. I don't think he meant what he said to be mean spirited; it is in the way others perceive it. I have no problem with his being reinstated...not that my opinion matters.

He is a douche with no respect for anyone or thing. Obviously CFBR said hey guys leave the haters out this story is personal as it is my daughter then even posted pics and the story. What a fricking moron to say the shite he said. I have my own beliefs and opinions but I would be damned if I said you should have killed the baby. I am all about everyones right to choose and if its life then great. If not its their choice. That dude sucks at life. Rarely if ever do I get worked up, especially when it comes to a damn message board where idiots hide behind anonymity to voice their so called knowledge/opinion. frick that dude and the horse he rode in on. End rank. Apologize in advance and arears of course

Don't know the original comment, but if he just made a general statement that he would personally choose to abort a fetus that doctors said would be born with a defect, you are being way too sensitive.
