How many power rushing teams will we actually play this year?

Besides Bama, I can't think of any. Not too familiar with UNC, but WVU isn't a power rushing team. Florida isn't. Tennessee has baby offensive linemen, Auburn has Malzahn. MSU has Mullen, Arkansas has Petrino. Nutt likes to run it up b/t the tackles but Ole Miss shouldn't be a threat this year.

Makes me feel good about our defense since we are so fast and lean. We can just stack the line on Bama since our secondary should be lock down by then.

Let me know if I am missing a team that might give us trouble up the middle.

I have been following Nutt since he was at Arkansas. I know he likes to run it and run it and run it. But come on, your QB left, Dex is gone. Hodge is gone. Even your own fan base is predicting a battle b/t you and State for 5th in the SEC West. Do you bring back your power back from last year? He seemed pretty damn good.

Yes he was our starter back in 08 when we beat you. A three year starter from Baton Rouge.

We aren't going to be as good as LSU next year, but we'll be plenty good enough to ruin your season. There won't be a bad team in the SEC west next year.

Hey, we're returning three players who have scored an offensive touchdown against LSU over the past two years. In those two games LSU has scored two offensive touchdowns.

Looks like we're bringing back more than you guys ever had.

They have Noel Devine who is a hell of a running back and will feed him the ball 15-18 time against us. Maybe more.

the only thing you have brought back is your first consecutive 8 win seasons since the 80's. Dex gave you a spark when he started but now you're just garbage.

LSU down seasons = Ole Miss Banner seasons. You guys probably have a banner for actually beating LSU 2 times in a row.

I certainly hope you don't think an Ole Miss team, or a Houston Dale Nutt team, is an automatic win.

I'm willing to bet anything that they do. I guess this upcoming season will really be rough for Ole Miss as it will mark the season that Mooo State becomes the premier power in the state of Mississippi.

Ole Miss may not return the same players but we return the same coaches. Yes, they could be a threat.

I don't think Ole Miss is an automatic win. Their D has been great lately but from I have heard from their fans they don't expect much in 2010. Plus their big play threats are gone so we can stack the line on them until they prove otherwise

Doesn't make them a power rushing team. Devine is a speed back. Which is fine since our Defense should be extremely fast. I know he can run b/t the tackles as well, but I doubt they have the offensive line to push us around.

I think Mississippi State returns their whole offensive line and they have that big quarterback who is fairly agile. I know they lost Anthony Dixon, but I am sure they will rely on their offensive line to pound the ball.

ignorance is bliss.
We won't be as good as we were the past two years, but we have plenty of hosses to take LSU down with. We won't be competing for a championship like LSU will be, but we can certainly take you out of the race.

When was the last time Miles beat Houston Nutt?

A Houston Dale Nutt team has beat us three years in a row. Until I see how they start out the season, I won't be ultra confident we'll put up more points than them.

2006 when we took Arkansas out of the race for a NC. Of course Nutt doesn't have Dex, Felix, or McFadden this year either.

None of those years are next year either. This is also the first time we return both our OC and DC since 2006.
