I think it would be a good fit. He is from Mississippi so he wouldn't mind coming back.

Brees-Starter for as long as he can go (5-10 years)

Campbell-Backup

3rd string-young guy that shows development potential

Campbell can be a starter for a few teams so I doubt it.

All that being said, it's so nice to not have a QB controversy.

nah

he had his best year as a starter last year, which was only his 2nd full year starting, on a horrible team.

If Jake Delhomme can get a 2nd chance someone will roll the dice on Campbell

Campbell won't accept a backup position...i'm still laughing that Snyder made him a first round pick. The scout he listened to should be fired if he isn't already.

I am no Campbell fan but he was showing definite improvement last year. He can be a starter somewhere.

Im sure thats exactly what Campbell wants. Im sure he wants to sign with the saints so he can be a backup for 7+ years and only have an opportunity if (god forbid) a injury happens. Or he could hope to sign with a team without a great QB and compete for a job. I guess option A is more logical.

I'm thinking he ends up in Buffalo, Oakland, somewhere in the AFC. Just my rough take on it.
