Troy Glaus is the key to the Braves' season. If he can stay relatively healthy and provide 25+ homers, the lineup could be very good. Just the threat of his RH power hitting between Chipper and McCaan will make the entire lineup much deeper. Also, he can't be a defensive liability at 1st.
And I haven't kept up with spring training much, but is Diaz the everyday LF or is he platooning with Schaeffer? Zambrano's right-handed, so I guess we'll find out soon enough. It won't be this, but here's the lineup I'd trot out there:
1) McClouth
2) Heyward
3) Chipper
4) Glaus
5) McCaan
6) Escobar
7) Diaz
8) Prado
That's pretty solid, and enough to turn me from a Nega-Brave into a Posi one. At least for opening day, anyway.
