You did a lot of analysis to ignore a very basic and important fact. The OL in 2008 was 10x better than the OL in 2009. Compare the production of Charles Scott from the two years and you'll see a huge difference.

Lee may indeed be the better QB. But, your analysis is very simplistic and frankly is useless.

Lee's numbers are comparable either year, but better than JJ's either year, so it doesnt matter which line he was behind.

JJ was better with the 2008 line, but he was an unknown quantity. Once teams started stacking the box, scoring drives dropped to a 3rd of attempts.

And take away special teams and deffense (which were much better in 2009) JJ would have had a 6-6 season.

So you cant credit Lee with a better offense, yet ignore the difference JJ's improved defense and special teams made.

why can't you frickin people stop this BS rushing crap between the 2 years... Because our passing attack was so inept last year the other teams STACKED the box to take out the only attack that could basically beat them...

Jefferson had PLENTY of time to find receivers and simply just didn't do it... Just rewatch the FL game...

Just like it seemed like Lee saw only his team in 08', Jefferson saw only the other team in 09'... So you go ahead and pick your poison... I'm going with whoever scores ne the most points... Or at least tries to.

As is your statement that the '08 line was 10 times better. Significantly better with Herman and Helms but not exponentially. The bigger problem effecting the stats of Scott and others in '09 was the ineptitude of QB play coupled with indecision of play-calling based on same. In short, the total number of plays called and run was drastically effected by the above. A few more running plays per game would have had Scott close to his '08 numbers, especially had he played the final 3 games and a quarter.
